2018 Grand Jury member, Liliam Cordoba is Creative VP for Vector B. IPG, Mexico. She brings more than 20 years’ experience working in advertising to the judges table, 18 of which she’s spent working at some of the most prominent agencies in Colombia and Mexico. She’s led regional accounts for such prominent brands as Nestlé, Procter & Gamble and Kelloggs.
In 2015, Liliam left her position as Regional Creative Director with Leo Burnett and assumed the responsibility of launching a new agency, Vector B, created by IPG group to lead all Bimbo´s Group Business. As Creative VP, she guides a team of 87 whose goal is to make Bimbo a global brand. And as an accomplished leader, she is constantly inspiring and pushing the team to make greater ideas through a strong creative strategy.
New York Festivals: Why judge…and how do you find the time?
Liliam Cordoba: Because judging is the best way to be on track in trends and ideas. In advertising we always find the time. LOL.
New York Festivals: When judging, what trends do you hope will fade away, and what “old school” trends do you hope will make a resurgence?
Liliam Cordoba: I really want to see IDEAS, simple Ideas again. I´m so tired to see big cases with technology and little ideas inside.
New York Festivals: In 3 words or less, what do you think about 6 second commercials?
Liliam Cordoba: Less is more.
