Group Managing Director Geometry, Hungary
Starting her career at a small local agency in Hungary in 2000, Reka has moved on the ladder step-by-step always working on the agency side in different client service positions to become a successful leader of the Geometry Group of Agencies in Hungary, representing top WPP brands under one roof such as Geometry, Ogilvy and Grey.
As of her primary school years Reka knew that she wanted to work in advertising, so studied international communication at the Budapest Business School. She learned into the nuances of advertising agency life at a local hot shop called GreenLight, than joined Ogilvy in 2003. Soon she was appointed to senior positions and after winning a huge telco pitch with the team under Reka’s leadership, she was appointed as Group Account Director on Telenor, overlooking a team of 25 employees and the very complex B2C and B2B communications of the telco brand across all channels for 4 years. In 2009 Reka had a short adventure as she worked for Isobar establishing the integrated discipline within the – that time – mostly digitally focused agency, than supported one of the most successful local agencies in the area of strategic planning and client service management.
Reka returned to Ogilvy – the agency where she always felt like at home – in 2011 to build up the agency’s CEEMEA strategic leadership hub for IBM and guided the team for 3 years, while besides her role on IBM she was also appointed as Client Service Director of the agency. When Ogilvy joined forces with Geometry in 2014 Reka was responsible for managing the overall business on the Ogilvy side, and finally, as of 2015 she took over the leadership of the holding as Group Managing Director. Under her leadership the group managed to stabilize its operation growing among the top 3 agencies of the market in billings and reached promising results on local and regional creative competitions.
Reka believes in the power of personal, human relationships, in working as real partners in an honest and cooperative way with colleagues, employees, clients, subcontractors. She is a straightforward, honest person being curious about the world, about other people’s thoughts – and this is also the spirit in which she is leading the Geometry Group.
